It has been a distinct honor to be the Working Families and Democratic Nominee for South Carolina State House of Representatives District 114.
I am very proud of the 7,487 votes I received, which is the highest number of votes for a candidate not running as a Republican in the 114th district in over 20 years. I consider each one of those votes as an obligation for me to continue to speak out for millions of hard-working people that are not being listened to by the establishment in Columbia. My campaign for SC House 114 is over, but my fight for working families will never end!
I offer heartfelt thanks to everyone that has given me support in this campaign, any success I had would have been impossible without you. I want to extend special thanks to God for each sunrise I wake to see, and the light of my soul. To Courtney Aubin, my amazing Wife, I treasure your love and support with all my heart. To my wonderful parents - Mom, your generous heart and strong will made me into the man I am today. Dad, I hope you are looking down with pride from heaven. To Paul Tinkler and Mary Tinkler, Charleston is very blessed by your family's public service and I am truly blessed by your friendship. To Brady Quirk-Garvan, you are an excellent County Party Chair and an even better friend. It's just 4 days before election day here in Charleston County, and statewide, there are must-see races including House District 114. Quintin interviews Democratic and Working Famlies Party Nominee Bob Aubin.
I am excited to have the support of the South Carolina AFL-CIO, an invaluable labor organization that mobilizes their members and community partners to advocate for social and economic justice!
The rights to organize, bargain, strike, and act in solidarity with one another are inalienable rights grounded U.S. Constitution. These rights are recognized around the world as human rights. I will fight to roll back bad labor laws and oppose any new laws in SC that limit the rights of our workers to organize.
I support Planned Parenthood because it is the most effective organization in the United States at advancing policies at the state and federal level that improve women’s health services.
TOGETHER WE CAN!
Please consider making a donation to the campaign or signing up to volunteer so I can stand up for women's health in the SC House.

BOB AUBIN ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR SC HOUSE 114
Pledges to Bring Communication Experience, Community and Ethics Reform to Office
Charleston – Wednesday, March 16, 2016 – Bob Aubin, a communications consultant in Charleston, declared his candidacy for South Carolina House of Representatives District 114 today. Mr. Aubin will file his paperwork for the Democratic Party nomination next week.
“It is with determination and concern for our community that I announce my candidacy for the South Carolina House of Representatives. The people of the 114th District scored a powerful victory when we took this office away from the control of the establishment in Columbia, and we must ensure it stays in our hands.
“I will dedicate my candidacy to ensuring that the working people of the district continue to have a representative willing to stand up to the entrenched majority in the capitol.
“I pledge to fight against the special interests that dominate the halls of the statehouse today. The people of South Carolina are tired of their elected officials taking marching orders from out-of-state think tanks that demand we spoil our natural resources, sell out our children's education, and exploit our dedicated workers.
“I look forward to a spirited campaign, meeting citizens, and tackling challenges.”
Bob is 38 years old and has served in a leadership capacity in multiple civic organizations. He currently serves as the Board President for the Village Green neighborhood HOA in the West Ashley region of Charleston where he lives with his wife Courtney.

Working people face a difficult challenge today due to the incompetence and outright hostility to our needs from many of our elected officials in South Carolina, and our newly elected Federal government. We must stand against this rising tide of inequity.
